SOMERSET – Maria DaSilva has been promoted to Tax Preparer and Account Manager, and will be sharing more of President Mark Tremblay’s responsibilities in interacting with clients at tax and financial services firm E.P. Tremblay. She was previously a bookkeeper and tax preparation support staff member.
She will work directly with clients in her expanded role and share oversight responsibility in the areas of tax preparation and review, bookkeeping (she is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor) and payroll. In addition, she will have chief responsibility for desktop-to-cloud software conversions and implementations.
DaSilva joined the firm as an intern in 2007. She accepted a permanent position later that year as a bookkeeper/tax preparation support staff member. Over the years, she continued in those roles and took on additional tasks such as implementing an agency software package and training fellow employees on its use.
DaSilva graduated from Bristol Community College in 2007 with an Associates in Science degree with a concentration in Accounting. She earned her Volunteer Income Tax Assistance certification in 2008 and earned her real estate license in 2013.
