The seminar — The Employment Law Landscape at the Midterms — is open to local employers of all sizes who may want to learn more about recent developments and the changing aspects of employment law. Steve Darden, a partner in the firm and an attorney who specializes in labor and workplace laws, said the seminar is particularly helpful for human resources managers, employee supervisors and business owners.
Darden said the seminar has been pre-approved by the HR Certification Institute for four hours’ credit and will address common employer concerns and questions involving Tennessee’s Workers’ Compensation Act, immigration issues, mental disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act, workplace harassment in an overheated environment and other topics of importance to keep employers in compliance and out of court.
Breakfast and lunch are provided as a part of each attendee’s $40 registration fee. Discounts are offered for companies sending more than one employee.
Any questions can be directed to Darden at 283-6303 or [email protected] For a full list of topics and to register for the seminar, visit the firm’s website at www.HSDLaw.com/2018Seminar.
