Qualification Summary
To qualify for the Procurement Technician, PG -1106-6/7, you must meet the following requirements: PG-6 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the PG-5 (or equivalent) level or higher. Examples of Specialized Experience includes: Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and individual print orders using manual and automated files Estimating the cost of individual orders using knowledge of printing terminology and methods, gathering; Consolidating information for inclusion in procurement reports, and resolving standard transactions, complaints, and discrepancies; Researching errors or conflicting information in procurement documentation, including resolution of billing issue; and Reviewing customer submitted orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with the contract requirements. PG-7 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of experience at the PG-6 (or equivalent) level or higher. Examples of Specialized Experience includes: Estimating the cost of individual orders using knowledge of printing terminology and methods, gathering; Consolidating information for inclusion in procurement reports, and resolving standard transactions, complaints, and discrepancies. Assisting procurement teams with independent review of print orders to ensure compliance with printing / publishing contract requirements; Assisting with certification of printing / publishing procurement awards of contracts, as well resolving non-standard transactions, complaints, and discrepancies; Applying knowledge of printing and publishing terminology and production methods to correctly interpret written contract specifications to input applicable prices from the contract for cost estimating; Utilizing procurement regulations and procedures to assist with contract administration including proposing solutions to recurring order issues or errors. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement(01/25/2019) to be considered.
