Stelia Aerospace scores high on ‘Women-Men’ equality index


Created in November 2018, the index makes it possible for all businesses in France to track and trace unjustified differences in wages between males and females and thus measure their progress in this area.

The index uses five indicators to monitor equality and, which enable companies to put in place corrective actions, if necessary. By 1st March 2020, all French companies measured these indicators and published their overall rating, according to the methodology of calculating the index of gender equality for the year 2019.

Already recognised by the Top Employer certification in 2019 and 2020, for its HR strategies, policies, processes and tools, Stelia Aerospace published a score of 89/100, which the company says ranks among the best in France in the field of gender equality.

“We welcome this [score]because it illustrates the maturity of our managerial practices and our human resources policy, over time, in terms of gender equality. In addition, this excellent result undeniably positions us among the most dynamic and efficient companies in this area,” stated Marc Jouenne, HR director of Stelia Aerospace.

This news follows Stelia Aerospace being awarded ‘Top Employer’ international certification in February, from the Top Employers Institute. This certification was delivered after several months of an audit led by the international Top Employers Institute, comparing Stelia Aerospace’s HR strategies, policies, processes and tools with the best practices worldwide, and after a second audit led by an independent organisation.

The international ‘Top Employer’ certification was awarded to 91 French companies this year, among which only two companies in the aeronautical industry. Stelia has won this award for the second consecutive year.

The annual study recognises the best employers throughout the world, across all sectors of activity. The awarded companies are those that offer a qualitative work environment, encourage the development of talents at all stages, and try to constantly improve their HR practices.
