Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and Tally Education Private Ltd. (TEPL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide training in accounting software Tally and also certify students through the Employability Skills Centres (ESCs) located in universities and colleges across the State.
Representatives of Tally and the corporation exchanged the MoUs at the latter’s office in Tadepalli near the city.
According to a release, the MoU enables the ‘Tally Naipunya Certificate’, a course that will be made available for the students of graduate and postgraduate courses at the ESCs in their respective colleges.
Tally with GST will be taught to interested students and their knowledge would be assessed through an online examination.
APSSDC MD and CEO K. Sambasiva Rao said the MoU was the first of its kind in the government sector. Students from ESCs could get the certification required to enhance their career opportunities, he said.
The corporation has already introduced several certification programmes in collaboration with national and international industry partners for college students.
Upon completion of certification, students will get a digitally verifiable certificate from Tally.
