Two variants of an upcoming OPPO smartphone has been spotted on Chinese telecommunications authority TENAA’s official website. For now, TENAA has only published images of the two variants. The specifications of the two variants have not been listed yet. While they are yet to be granted the TENAA certification, the upcoming smartphone has been certified by MIIT in China.
OPPO PBFM00, PBFT00 Smartphones Appear on TENAA
The images published by TENAA suggest the smartphone will feature a waterdrop notch, which means it will have an impressive screen-to-body ratio. At the rear, we find a dual-camera setup with the two sensors stacked horizontally. A fingerprint sensor can also be seen at the rear. On the sides, we find the power and volume control buttons. However, unlike the other OPPO smartphones features a waterdrop notch, it appears the PBFM00 and PBFT00 will be entry-level devices. As you can tell from the images below, the smartphone appears to feature a polycarbonate rear panel instead of a premium glass back seen on the OPPO F series and R series smartphones. Most budget smartphones come with either a metal or glass back these days, so we are fairly certain that the PBFM00/PBFT00 is an entry-level handset.
Apart from the design, there is nothing much that we know about the OPPO PBFM00 and PBFT00 smartphones currently. That said, we will not have to wait very long to learn more about them, as TENAA is likely to update the listings with more details regarding their hardware specifications very soon.
OPPO PBFM00, PBFT00 Receive MIIT Certification
The OPPO PBFM00 and PBFMT00 models have received certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information technology in China. Unlike the TENAA listing, the MIIT listings for the PBFM00 and PBFT00 do not reveal anything interesting. However, the certification does make it quite clear that the two devices may very well be launched in China in the coming weeks. We can also expect the PBFM00 and PBFT00 to receive certification from a few other agencies in the coming days. Since the two model have so far appeared only on TENAA and MIIT in China, there is a possibility that the smartphone will be sold only in China, at least initially.
