Cirencester headquartered Mitsubishi Motors UK has appointed David Rodriguez as its new sales and marketing director.
Mr Rodriguez joined the business on June 1 and brings with him nearly two decades of invaluable industry experience to the role.
Having worked for 11 years in a variety of senior roles at the Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motors UK, across their sales, operations, and finance functions, Mr Rodriguez joined leading fleet-management company LeasePlan UK as dealer engagement general manager. In 2016, was promoted to head of remarketing with the role being extended to head of procurement and remarketing by 2019.
A graduate of the University of Manchester, where Mr Rodriguez achieved a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies, and with ACMA certification from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, he now lives in West Malling, Kent, with his family.
On his appointment, Mr Rodriguez said: “It’s a great time to be joining Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. Building on our remarkable success in the plug-in hybrid market in particular, I know we have an exciting future ahead of us. I’m very much looking forward to working with the business and our dealer network to ensure we recover quickly from the turbulent period.”

The business has around 260 employees working at its Cirencester base, which saw the reopening of its UK wide sales network network on June 1 as coronavirus restrictions eased.
