In the Moment Restorations, 931 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, held a ribbon-cutting Aug. 28 to celebrate its third year in business and its recent move to a brick-and-mortar retail location.

Manitowoc Chamber plans Safety Symposium
Chamber of Manitowoc County will hold its sixth annual Safety Symposium from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Holiday Inn-Manitowoc, 4601 Calumet Ave.
Breakfast will be at 7:30 a.m. with symposium running 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Cost is $50 for Chamber members and $100 for non-members. Conatct Callie Brice at 920-684-5575 or [email protected] to register or for more details.
A press release about the event said: “Safety isn’t just a program, it’s a culture. Understanding your culture will allow you to make value-added changes to your organization’s safety programs. … This program will allow attendees to understand how to engage today’s workforce, tips for improving safety programs, and tools used to calculate and demonstrate the value of safety improvements.”
Speakers will include Steve Bench of Generational Consulting LLC; Chris Seider, CSP, PHR, CHST, ARM senior safety and risk management specialist for Foth & Van Dyke, LLC; Patrick Harel, senior fall protection specialist – Wisconsin and the Upper Michigan with 3M Company; and Tom Fitzgerald of TFitz People Dynamics, LLC.

Edward Jones raises funds, awareness for Alzheimer’s disease
Edward Jones branch associates are supporting the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Manitowoc/Two Rivers as Edward Jones – Manitowoc/Two Rivers with Team Walk No. 474378.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs. The financial service firm is the national presenting sponsor of this year’s walk and has committed $12 million over five years to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Manitowoc/Two Rivers walk will take place Sept. 15 at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA, 205 Maritime Drive. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.

Businesses in disaster topic of Sept. 5 presentation
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack will offer a presentation about businesses in disaster from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Chamber of Manitowoc County, 1515 Memorial Drive, Manitowoc.

Shoreline’s Damien Mohorne earns credit union designation

Shoreline Credit Union Human Resources Manager Damien Mohorne was one of 66 new Credit Union HR Compliance Professionals (CUHRCPs) who earned their designations at this year’s Credit Union National Association (CUNA) HR Compliance Certification School in Denver.
Mohorne is the only credit union HR manager in Wisconsin to earn this designation in 2018.
As a first-year CUNA student, Mohorne participated in a pre-requisite training before attending the school. He successfully passed the CUHRCP exam and then attended an intensive instructor-led study session to dive deeper into HR compliance laws and regulations.
Allstates Rigging marks September anniversaries
The following employees will celebrate five-year anniversaries at Allstates Rigging in Two Rivers in September: Wendy Krueger on Sept. 9; and Patrick Reed and Jim Wiesner on Sept. 16.
